What were Marco Polos impact on being a leader?

Marco Polo's impacted on being a leader because , he made journeys to Central Asia and China. Marco Polo got in prison during a war and met a new friend.

    Cool that was great. And he traveled alot, but who was his new friend? Also is he a trouble maker? 'Cause he sounds like a trouble maker to me.
