what did Marco Polo do to help china?

Marco polo served as a emissary for the great Mongol ruler King Kulhban Khan. He became famous for his amazing journeys around Central Asia and China. Marco Polo fought in a sea battle to fight against his city.

    What is an emissary? But it's interwsting that Marco made all those journeys.
